Redshirt-senior Josh Glenn has already hit the ground running. The everyday catcher logged Northern Colorado's first three-hit game of the season over the weekend against Pacific.
Sophomores Shaydon Kubo and Garrett Fisher were a fixture on the bases versus the Tigers. Each of them reached base safely in all four games against Pacific.
Thirteen different Bears made their debuts in the Blue and Gold last weekend, none more impressive than freshman Kevin Sharp who pitched 6.1 scoreless innings.
Once on base, UNC showcased some obvious speed against the Tigers. Northern Colorado was a perfect 6-6 in stolen base attempts with Carson Gross and Lincoln Turner each collecting two stolen bags.
In the first four games of the season, no one in the Summit League was better in strikeout to walk ratio than the UNC pitching staff with a mark of 2.07.

Scouting the Spartans
The Spartans took three of four from fellow Summit League member Omaha over the weekend. Twice, SJSU managed 14 runs.

Redshirt sophomore Omar Gastelum was flat out on fire over the weekend. Gastelum hit .455 with six RBI a double and a home run. He also earned three walks and a hit-by-pitch.
Expect to see Aaron Eden to start on the mound for San Jose State. The right-hander out of Los Angeles started in the Spartans' only loss of the weekend, pitching 1.2 innings, giving up four runs (3 earned) and walking two.
