Woodhull and Pulley combination too much for Tigers

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado Soccer was back in regular-season action against Colorado College Thursday evening and it didn't take long for head coach Tim Barrera's squad to give the home fans something to cheer about.
Despite the Tigers equalizing in the second half, the dynamic duo of Lexi Pulley and Lauren Woodhull combined for two goals to run away from CC and hand UNC its first win of the season, 3-1.
The Bears began the game on the front foot, pressuring Colorado College's backline.
In the fifth minute, the speedy Melina Faris blitzed past the Tiger defense, perfectly setting up Haley O'Nan for the first goal of the 2021 season.

On the defensive end, the backline and Morgan Bury did their parts to keep UNC in front. Bury delivered save after save and the defense even cleared several balls off the line to keep the home side in front at the break.

Colorado College equalized just seconds into the second half, claiming the game's momentum.
Northern Colorado wasn't about to disappoint the Bear faithful, however, and thanks to freshman Lauren Woodhull and senior Lexi Pulley, that wasn't going to be a problem.
In the span of five minutes, UNC's big bear (Pulley) and little bear (Woodhull) took over the contest. Twice the rookie served up perfect balls to Pulley and twice the Laramie, Wyoming native found the back of the net.
