UNC baseball is a third of the way into the WAC schedule as they hit the road to take on the defending conference tournament champions, New Mexico State.
The Bears got back into the conference win column with a win over Utah Valley on Sunday in comeback fashion.

BEAR BITES

Jack Pauley has gotten hot by hitting three home runs in three games against the Wolverines.
The Bear bats got back on track scoring 29 runs in four games last week.
Jake Gitter is leading the team with a .356 average and that's good enough for ninth in the WAC.
Pauley checks in at 12^th with a .348 average. He is also top-10 in the conference in stolen bases.

NMSU was predicted to finish second in the WAC Preseason Poll. Currently, they're in second place but not behind Grand Canyon, in fact, they took two of three from the Lopes last weekend.

AGGIE INSIGHT

NMSU leads the country in batting average, hits, on-base percentage and runs.
They are second in the nation in home runs.
Four Aggies are hitting over .400 led by Nick Gonzales at .442.

New Mexico State won 40 games last season and played in the NCAA Tournament, UNC took two-of-three from the Aggies last season in Greeley.
