Bears bats breakout in win over T-Wolves

A game of missed opportunities broke open in the bottom of the fourth when Burkart followed a Jack Pauley sacrifice fly with a two-run double that made the lead 5-1 UNC.
Pueblo answered with a single run in the fifth before Allen broke the game open with a bases clearing 3-RBI triple that made 8-2. Braxton Inniss added an RBI single and scored on a fielders choice to end the inning with UNC up 10-2.
The Bears went on to add three runs in the seventh and four runs in the eighth including the game-ending hit by when Leach doubled home Zoba.
BREAKING OUT OF THE BOX SCORE
- Allen finished with the triple and three runs batted in.
- Burkart had two knocks and three RBIs.
- Zoba finished with a pair of hits and three RBIs.
- Leach had two doubles, three hits and three runs driven in.
- Inniss made his first start of his UNC career and made the most of it with two hits, two RBIs and a stolen base and scored three runs all from the nine hole.
- Karver Pate picked up the win.
The Bears open WAC play on Friday against Chicago State at 2 p.m. The Cougars will make a pit stop in Iowa City to take on the Hawkeyes before arriving in Greeley.
