Gus Allred Earns Scholar Of The Championship For The Summit League

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Northern Colorado left-handed pitcher Gus Allred has been named the 2026 Summit League Baseball Scholar of the Championship, the league office announced Wednesday.
Allred, who graduated with a degree in Computer Science and maintained a perfect 3.98 grade-point average during his academic career, has excelled as a key contributor for the Bears both in the classroom and on the mound. His commitment to academic excellence matched his impact on the field, where he served as a reliable presence within the pitching staff throughout the season.
The Scholar of the Championship award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative undergraduate GPA among those competing at each of the Summit League's 19 championship sports, recognizing excellence in both academics and athletics.
