Scouting the Lady Griz
It has been a roller coaster ride during the season for Montana as they have dealt with injuries and trading off winning and losing streaks. After Saturday's 75-71 loss against Montana State the Lady Griz saw their two game win streak end.
Three UM players are averaging scoring double figures in Jace Henderson (11.5), McKenzie Johnston (12.0) and Gabi Harrington (11.4). Henderson leads the team with 8.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists a game to be one of the top bigs in the league.
History against Montana
Always a tough program to defeat, Montana leads the all-time series 17-11, but Northern Colorado is currently on a five game win streak over the Lady Griz. The Bears swept UM last season and already won in Missoula earlier this year. The Bears are 5-7 at home against Montana.
Against the Big Sky
UNC joined the Big Sky in the 2006-07 season and has gone 127-96. Overall, the team is 140-102 against Big Sky schools.
Around the Big Sky
Over this past week, Idaho has taken over first place by themselves in the conference, sitting at 13-3 with two weeks to go. The Vandals lead Idaho State by half a game, Portland State by a game and the Bears by a game and a half. Thursday will be a big night in the Big Sky as Northern Colorado goes to Idaho State and Idaho visits Portland State.
On This Date
The Bears have the chance to even their record when playing on February 25 as they enter Monday night's game at 5-6. The team is 3-1 when playing at home on the date and looking to end a two game losing streak on it overall.
