Winners of three straight, UNC women's basketball looks to make it four straight at Eastern Washington
Coming off a 13-point comeback win, Northern Colorado women's basketball aims to stay atop the Big Sky standings on Monday night. The Bears continue their three-game road trip by visiting Eastern Washington at 7 pm MST.
Opening Tip
• Northern Colorado remains the lone undefeated team in the Big Sky after defeating Idaho 86-72, over coming a 13-point deficit.
• Five of the six Bears that played against Idaho scored in double-figures in the game led by Savannah Smith's 22 points. Krystal Leger-Walker added in 19, while Alexis Chapman, Ali Meyer and Micayla Isenbart all scored 12.
• The Bears shot an impressive 55.0 percent from the field behind the arc in the game, including going 8-of-9 in the second half.
• Ali Meyer's streak of nine games with double-digit rebounds was snapped against Idaho as she missed extending it by just one board.
• Eastern Washington last played on Thursday night falling at Idaho.
• The Eagles struggled in the non-conference season, going 1-8, only beating Eastern Oregon.

Northern Colorado trailed by 13 points in the third quarter against Idaho, before storming back using a 19-0 run in the fourth quarter to take the lead and put the game away. UNC shot 63.6 percent in the fourth quarter, including making five 3-pointers while holding Idaho to 23.5 percent.
Scouting the Eagles
Eastern Washington is having a down year after the second of the Hodgins' sisters graduated last season in Delany. EWU is 2-10 on the season having defeated Eastern Oregon and Weber State. The win at WSU to open Big Sky play snapped a seven-game losing streak.
Violet Kapri Marrow leads the Eagles this season scoring 17.2 points per game and 5.4 rebounds. No other EWU player is averaging double figures scoring.
A key to the Eastern Washington struggles this year have been not being able to put the ball in the hoop, shooting 35.8 percent, while opponents are shotting 44.9 percent against them.
History against Eastern Washington
Northern Colorado and Eastern Washington had never faced each other until 2007 when the Bears joined the Big Sky Conference. Since then, UNC holds a 14-9 advantage. Until last year, EWU was winners of five of the last six games in the series, before the Bears won both match ups.

UNC joined the Big Sky in the 2006-07 season and has gone 127-99. Overall, the team is 139-137 against Big Sky schools.
