MISSOULA, MONT. – It was a matchup between the highest scoring team in the league, Northern Colorado, and the team who prides themselves on not allowing goals, Montana. The Griz led 1-0 for the majority of the second half, but UNC changed that in the final minutes and after a scoreless OT, Lexi Pulley found Mariel Gutierrez in the second OT and she found the back of the net for what turned out to be the game winner in a 2-1 Bears win.
"It was a great win on the road," said UNC head coach Tim Barrera. "The players found a way to get the equalizer in regulation and got the win in OT. I am very porud of them."

With just minutes remaining in the match, UNC was scrambling to get the equalizer and the Bears did just that when Maddie Roberts took advantage of the Montana keeper being out of place and she tied the match with her fourth goal of the season.

UNC had not won in Missoula since 2006.

Montana was unable to respond and the match headed to overtime. The Bears and Griz played a scoreless first OT, which set up Pulley and Gutierrez for the winner midway through the second overtime.

The goal by Gutierrez tied her with Roberts for the most goals by any Big Sky player, Roberts had momentarily taken the lead with her goal late in regulation.

UNC will be back at Jackson Stadium on Friday against Idaho a 7 p.m.
