Then on Sunday February 12th, they will return home to face Big Sky opponent Montana State at 12:00pm at Work Out West in Greeley. Women's Tennis (2-1, 0-0 Big Sky)
Last Time Out: The Bears picked up their second straight 7-0 victory against Metro State last weekend. Senior Beth Coton and Sophomore Remi Immler won their match at number one doubles 6-0 and as a team, the Bears dropped just one set of tennis on the day.
Need to Know: Senior Courtney Schulte, Sophomore Lily-Ana Kreutzer, and Sophomore Remi Immler remain undefeated in singles play this spring. Head Coach Brenda (Vlasek) Gallegos has kept Coton and Immler together at number one doubles throughout the year and so far they have a 2-1 record at that spot.
Good to Know: Air Force defeated the Bears 6-1 the last time the two teams met back in March of 2015. Marissa Baca is the only current player to record a win against Air Force. At the time, she won in both singles and doubles play.
Scouting Air Force: The Falcons are 1-3 so far this spring, but have faced difficult opponents. On the road in Knoxville, TN, they lost to Tennessee 6-1 and a close affair 4-3 to Chattanooga. Their single win came on January 27th, when they defeated Nebraska-Omaha 5-2 on the road. Senior Chloe Forlini is chasing several career records. She is No. 1 is school history in career singles wins at Air Force with 90 and is three wins shy of the record for combined singles and doubles wins.
Scouting Montana State: The Bobcats are 2-1 so far this spring with wins against Seattle and Lewis-Clark State. Angela Philippova (number 4 singles) and Chloe Goyette (number 2 singles) remain undefeated through three matches in singles competition.
