UNC Women’s Tennis Drop Match Against Oral Roberts University

In their first of three home matches this weekend, UNC women's tennis fell to Oral Roberts 4-2
GREELEY, Colo.- The Bears came up short against Oral Roberts University at home on Thursday with a score of 4-2.
In doubles play, UNC was victorious in two of the three matches to earn the doubles point. In the No. 2 spot, Sandra Keta/Sarina Chhabra won their match, 6-3, against Miley/Nahurska. Madison Wolfe/Natalie Stanton also won their match, 6-3, over Vasiljevic/Sengputa in the No. 3 doubles spot.
In the No. 1 doubles spot, the match was left unfinished with Raffa Mora/Synclair Larson leading Babic/Lebedeva, 4-3.
In singles play, Madison Wolfe was the only Bear to win her match. She got the win in three sets with scores of 4-6, 6-3 and 6-4 against Aliksandra Lebedeva in the No. 3 spot.
Oral Roberts University won multiple singles matches in straight sets with wins over Raffa Mora in the No. 1 spot, Sandra Keta in the No. 2 spot, Synclair Larson in the No. 5 spot and Natalie Stanton in the No. 6 spot. Sarina Chhabra fell to Rai Sengputa in the No. 4 spot after forcing three sets.
"That was a tough battle by both teams today," said Head Coach Chad Stoloff. "It was great for us to get that doubles point. We were right there today."
The UNC women's tennis team will continue their season at home this weekend with two conference matches against Sacramento State on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Idaho State on Sunday at 2 p.m.
