FINAL ROUND RESULTS
HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. - The women's golf team finished up the fall portion of the their schedule on Sunday with an eighth place finish at the Ron Moore Women's Collegiate. The Bears have a lot to feel good about heading into the long winter break by shooting 21-over par as a team for the tournament. It was a huge improvement over their previous best performance of +34 from two weeks ago at the Rose City Classic in Oregon.
Sophomore Morgan Sahm completed a third straight round of under par golf, breaking the 54-hole school record with a 211. Sahm fired another one-under par 71 as she continued to stay away from trouble, carding three birdies, 12 pars and only two bogeys.
Freshman Beah Cruz finished up with a round of three-over par. Cruz was only two-over par for the tournament to finish in a tie for 24th, the best finish of her young career.
Sophomore Marisa Hisaki did her best to overcome a tough start to her round. Hisaki found herself five-over par after four holes, but a couple birdies and a string of eight straight pars helped her to finish up the day shooting six-over par and finish her tournament +11 in a tie for 49th.
After starting with a double-bogey, freshman Nicole Polivchak ripped off eight pars in a row and would finish the day three-over par. Polivchak was +13 for the weekend to finish tied for 53rd.

"We got off to a slow start today as a team, but we furnished our rounds pretty good again to finish 8th in a great tournament amongst a very good field. Morgan was great all week keeping her golf ball in play and making some clutch putts when she needed to! She had a wonderful seventh place finish to end our Fall season, carrying some momentum to get better through the break. Nicole and Beah continued to play solid golf and help the team score. Christina played as an individual, but stepped up her game and shot an even par 72. She will continue to improve and I expect her to come up big for us in the Spring. We will use this finish to know that we can compete with some of the best teams, but also know that we have work to do, getting our games at a more consistent level."
