PREVIEW: Northern Colorado Women’s Golf Heads to Arizona for Big Sky Championship Run

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado women's golf heads to the desert for postseason play this week, traveling to Goodyear, Arizona, to compete in the Big Sky Conference Championship Tournament at the Wigwam Golf Resort.
The three-day tournament will feature 10 teams competing for both the conference title and individual honors.
SEASON IN REVIEW: The Bears enter the tournament following one of the most successful regular seasons in program history. The Bears recorded 10 top 10 finishes, including four top five results, showcasing their ability to compete consistently throughout the year.
UNC also set a new program record with a 299.43 season scoring average. Among the highlights was a historic round of 279 at the Golf Iconic Classic, marking the lowest 18-hole team score in program history.
Individually, Timbre Shehee turned in a record-breaking campaign, posting a 73.23 stroke average, the lowest single season mark in program history. Samantha Colombine also made her mark, climbing into the top five all-time in single-season stroke average with a 74.54 while adding multiple strong finishes throughout the season.
NEXT TEE: With momentum built from a record-setting regular season, Northern Colorado looks to carry its strong play into the postseason. The Bears will aim to translate their consistency and depth into a complete performance as they make a push for the conference championship and individual titles.
