Samantha Colombine Earns Co-Women’s Golfer of The Week

FARMINGTON, Utah – Northern Colorado women's golf Samantha Colombine has been named Co-Women's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Thursday.
This marks Colombine's first honor of the 2025-26 season, following a strong performance at the "Mo" Morial hosted by Texas A&M.
Colombine led the way for Northern Colorado in the final round, carding a 1-over 73 to finish at 9-over for the tournament. Colombine delivered a steady and composed round, using consistent play across both nines to pace the Bears and secure a tie for 12th on the the player leader board.
"Excited for Sammy. Her length off the tee allowed her to take advantage of a very long & challenging golf course. She has such a great attitude and so much talent it's fun to watch her play" said Associate Head Coach, Tina Barrett.
A sophomore from Tabasco, Mexico, Colombine has been a key contributor to the UNC golf program, recording eight top 25 finishes on the player leader board this season for the Bears.
