How It Happened
After taking the lead at 3-1 in the second inning, Wichita State put a nine spot on the Bears in the third to take control of the game. In the third, WSU had seven hits, drew four walks and also benefited from a UNC error. The Shockers added at least one more run in three of the final five innings while the Bears scored their second run in the fifth.
Player of the Game
UNC: Freshman Tyler Yamaguchi was Northern Colorado's offense on the day. He went 3-for-5 in the game, with all three hits being doubles and scored both UNC runs.
WSU: Keenan Eaton played well for Wichita State Saturday afternoon. Eaton went 2-for-3 scoring twice and also driving in two runs. Both of Eaton's hits were doubles, before he was pulled in the fifth.
