Men's Tennis Drops Match against Seattle

Northern Colorado men's tennis dropped its non-conference match up against Seattle 5-2 Thursday
GREELEY, Colo—While the snow was coming down outside, Northern Colorado (3-7) men's tennis team took on Seattle (2-5) inside Work Out West Tennis Center Thursday, falling to the Redhawks 5-2.
UNC and SU had a good battle going, that came down to the number five singles match between Jacob Sheldon (Parker, Colo.) and Conner Leahy. Seattle led the match 3-2 at the point, and was able to secure the win in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.
Seattle built its lead by gaining the point from doubles play winning the number one and three matches.
The Bears would not go away easy though, behind wins from Austin Mayo (Austin, Texas) in the number two singles (6-3, 6-4) and Eric Schuermans (Sao Paulo, Brazil) in the number four singles (6-3, 7-6) the teams were all square at five.
The Redhawks would go on to win the number three singles to go up 3-2 and earn the win over the Bears in the fifth singles.
UNC will now have a week off before hosting Big Sky counterpart Montana, Friday March 6.
