2015-16: Schuermans completed his senior campaign with a singles record of 11-11 ... Achieving 11 wins tied him for the most singles wins on the season ... He finished his career out with four straight wins, finishing with a win over Idaho State by scores of 6-4 and 6-1 ... Finished his doubles season with a record of 7-14, playing the majority of his matches with teammate Hayden Cramer.

2014-15: Was apart of UNC's No. 3 doubles pairing with fellow junior Jacob Sheldon, together they went 9-12 overall including 5-5 in Big Sky play...Schuermans also participated in singles play for the Bears during the spring, mostly in the No. 4 slot where he went 7-6...for the whole spring season he was one of three Bears to record double-digit wins with 11...Shcuermans participated in the USTA/ITA regionals in the fall in both doubles and singles.,

2013-14: Tied for second most spring singles wins during his sophomore season … Posted a 9-12 overall singles record and a 6-8 record in spring singles … Won five of his first six matches of the dual season … Went 4-3 with three partners in spring doubles … Grabbed a singles D consolation title at the Creighton Invitational in the fall … Also won a doubles match at the USTA/ITA Regionals with partner Jeff Carlson.

2012-13: Totaled a team-high 10 wins in doubles action during the spring as a freshman … Schuermans participated with fellow freshman Mitchel Knight (5-4 No. 2), Michael Moya (4-2 No. 3) and Jordan Loughnan (1-2 No. 2) … Also won eight singles matches, tied for third most on the team during the spring … Won six of eight matches at No. 6 and two of five at No. 5 … Finished fall singles action 3-2 and doubles 3-3.

High School:,In 2009-10 he took second place overall at the ISST's in singles and came back to win the title in 2010-11... Also played basketball, rugby, football, soccer and volleyball during his time in Brussels... Helped the International School of Brussels win the ISST's as a team in 2010-11... A member of the honor roll as a senior.

Personal: A native of Sao Paulo, Brazile, he attended high school in Brussels... Is one of four children of Ivan and Gracia Schuermans... Born March 11 in Bebedouro, Brazil ... Currently exploring a major in Liberal Arts.
