FARMINGTON, Utah – Thomas Pudney used an undefeated weekend against Eastern Washington and Seattle University to earn himself Big Sky Conference Player of the Week honors.

Like he has done all season, Pudney handled his business in the No. 3 singles spot this past weekend, going 2-0.

Pudney opened up the weekend by helping the Bears to their first Big Sky conference win of the season over Eastern Washington. Pudney along with Julian Kenzlers clinched the doubles point for the Bears with a 7-6 win in the No. 1 spot. Pudney then defeated Manuel Balce of EWU 6-3, 6-1 to clinch the 6-1 victory over the Eagles.

Pudney capped off the undefeated weekend on Saturday night when he defeated Emilio Monroy 6-1, 6-3 and helped push UNC to another 6-1 win over Seattle University.

Pudney improves to 8-1 in the No. 3 singles spot, and becomes the first Bear men's tennis player to earn Big Sky weekly honors since Eric Shuermans on Feb. 3, 2016.
