Northern Colorado Wrestling Heads to Arizona to Open Dual Schedule

The Bears will stop in Phoenix and Tempe for a pair of duals on Thursday
GREELEY, Colo. - Head Coach Troy Nickerson and the Bears will open up their 2015-16 dual schedule this Thursday, facing Arizona State and Grand Canyon on Thursday, Nov. 11.
UNC will start off Thursday evening in Tempe, Arizona where they'll face the Arizona State Sun Devils at 5:00 PM MT. The last time the two teams met was in January of 2014, when the Bears prevailed, 25-14. The Sun Devils, members of the Pac 12 Conference, are currently 2-1 on the season in duals.
Immediately following the completion of the dual against ASU, the Northern Colorado squad will make the short trip to Phoenix where they'll meet the Grand Canyon Antelopes for an 8:00 PM MT dual. Last season, the Lopes made the trip out to Greeley, falling to the Bears 30-9, and coming into this dual, the Lopes wrestling team currently sits 1-3 in duals in the 2015-16 season. Additionally, Grand Canyon Athletics is continuing its transition into Division I status.

The Bears remain on the road next week, traveling to Norman, Oklahoma on Nov. 19 [6:00 PM MT] for their first dual against a Big 12 school since becoming an affiliate of the conference.
