GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado Wrestling has added Cinsere Clark to its roster, Head Coach Teyon Ware announced.
MEET THE SIGNEE
CINSERE CLARK | SA | DES MOINES, IOWA |
Clark, a 6-foot wrestler from Des Moines, Iowa, joins the Bears after a standout freshman campaign at Indian Hills Community College, where he earned NJCAA All-American honors and helped lead the Warriors to the program's first-ever NJCAA National Championship.
During his true freshman season (2024–25), Clark set the school record for wins in a single season with 34 victories, while also recording nine technical falls, tied for third-most in program history. He finished the year ranked No. 4 nationally by The Open Mat and No. 8 in the NJCAA rankings at 165 pounds.
Clark placed fourth at the NJCAA National Championship, entering the tournament unseeded and going 5–2 against elite competition. His run included wins over the No. 5-ranked (twice), No. 7, and No. 11-ranked wrestlers, outscoring opponents 75–27 en route to helping Indian Hills capture its first national title. He also placed third at the NJCAA North Central District Championship, highlighted by a pin in the third-place match.
Clark will bring collegiate experience, proven production, and championship pedigree to the UNC program as he continues his academic and athletic career in Greeley.
Clark cited the opportunity and coaching staff as key reasons for his decision to join the Bears. "For the opportunity and the chance to chase something great, with coaches that have already been where I want to be," Clark said.
