Northern Colorado Wrestling Adds De’Alcapon Veazy

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado wrestling has added De'Alcapon Veazy to its roster, Head Coach Teyon Ware announced.
MEET THE SIGNEE
DE'ALCAPON VEAZY | 190 | MICHIGAN | FORT WAYNE, IND
Veazy, a 190-pound wrestler transfer from Michigan, joins the Bears following a decorated prep career highlighted by state titles, national success, and multiple top-level tournament finishes. He will continue his academic and athletic career at UNC while strengthening the program's upper weights.
A graduate of Poderosa High School (2025), Veazy capped his senior season by winning the Colorado 5A 190-pound state title, going on a dominant run that included a first-round tech fall and three straight pins.
Prior to his time in Colorado, he competed for Fort Wayne Snider High School in Indiana, where he became a two-time state place winner, finishing second (2023) and fourth (2022) at 182 pounds. He was also a three-time all-conference and all-region selection.
On the national stage, Veazy earned multiple high-level finishes, including placements at the Iron man (2024), Doc Buchanan (2025), and Reno TOC (2024). He captured the 182-pound 16U title at the 2022 Folkstyle National Championships and became a six-time Fargo All-American, highlighted by a runner-up finish in 16U freestyle and multiple Greco-Roman podium finishes.
Internationally, he placed top eight in both freestyle and Greco at the 2022 UWW Cadet Nationals and earned double gold at the 2021 U15 Pan-American Championships.
