- Swam to a second place finish in the 100y fly against Wyoming
- Had two second place finishes against NMSU in the 100y and 200y fly events
- Placed second in the 200y fly at the Air Force Front Range Invite
2023-24: At the WAC Championships, placed second in the 200-yard fly (1:59.17), third in the 100-yard fly (53.92), and seventh in the 50-yard free (23.59).
2022-23:Â finished second at the WAC Championships in the 200-yard fly with a time of 1:59.16 and placed sixth in the 100-yard fly with a time of 54.58.
2021-22
- Competed in five meets this season, including the WAC Championships.

Personal
Payten is the daughter of Blake and Aimee and the sister to Brooke. Sports runs deep in her family. Both her parents were Division I athletes at the University of New Mexico. Irwin's father would go on to a career in the NFL. Her Uncle also made it to the NFL via the University of Colorado. She's the great niece of three-time US Open Golf Champion Hale Irwin. And her sister Brooke is on her way to a career in gymnastics.
