PREVIEW: UNC Swimming & Diving Travels to Air Force for Friday Night Dual

GREELEY, Colo. – The Northern Colorado swimming & diving teams returns to the pool on Friday, January 9 for a dual at Air Force. Competition begins at 5 p.m. at the Cadet Natatorium at USAFA in Colorado Springs, Colo.
ABOUT THE MEET
Access procedures at the U.S. Air Force Academy continue to affect athletic events. While the installation remains open, anyone without a DoD ID card must obtain a visitor pass to enter the base.
Fans wishing to attend the dual can request a base pass using this link.

Air Force competes in the Mountain West Conference, where they are currently ranked seventh of 11 teams in duals and fourth in championships.
LAST TIME OUT
Northern Colorado swimming & diving capped its fall schedule with a historic showing at the Magnus Cup Invitational, finishing runner-up for its best team placement at the meet. The Bears totaled three wins on the final day, highlighted by Kyra Rabess' victory in the 1650 freestyle, Maria Erokhina's title in the 200 breaststroke, and Ellyson Lombardi taking the 200 butterfly. Avi Tromp and Erokhina added podium finishes in the 100 IM, while Martina Yuki Trionfetti led a strong sprint group with a third-place finish in the 100 free. The program continued to stack all-time marks with four top-10 additions, and depth showed across the board. On the boards, Addison Campbell, Violet Noel, and Mireya Ruiz combined for three top-eight platform finishes to close a milestone weekend for the Bears before the winter break.
MPSF RANKINGS
Northern Colorado sits in first in dual rankings with 707.30 points and fourth in championship rankings with 634.39 points.
UP NEXT: The Bears will host Washington State at Butler-Hancock Pool on Friday, January 23 at 4 p.m. MST.
