2013-14: Had the team's best record at 24-8, including 15-4 in duals...Took first place at Northern Colorado's Old Chicago Open where he recorded two pins and a tech fall in a 4-0 day...Faced four ranked wrestlers during the year, losing all four times...Went 3-2 in WWC regular-season action and 2-2 at the tournament for fourth place...Won by pin seven times, including one in 44 seconds...Went 4-2 at the Southern Scuffle Jan. 1 and 2...Named WWC Wrestler of the Week one time.
2012-13: Went 10-6 overall and 6-3 at duals during the season...Placed second at Wyoming's Cowboy Open Nov. 3 during which he had a 37-second pin and two decisions...Had two major decisions during the year and three total pins.
2011-12: Served an LDS mission.
2010-11: Served an LDS mission.
2009-10: Served an LDS mission.
2008-09: Had the best dual record on the team of 13-4... Recorded longest winning streak of the season for the Bears at 16-straight... Went 2-0 at the NCAA West Regionals defeating top ranked Ryan Adams from North Dakota State in the finals... Qualified for the NCAA Championship where he posted an 0-2 record... Became the first on the team to reach 20 victories, finishing with a record of 28-6 which is the most wins for a true freshman since transitioning to Division I... Named to the Western Wrestling All-Conference First Team as well as the Western Wrestling Conference Coaches' Honor Roll... Earned the Western Wrestling Conference wrestler of the week award on Dec. 2.
High School: One of Colorado's top amateur wrestlers, Polkowske won two state titles, placed sixth as a sophomore and qualified for state as a freshman. His last two seasons he posted a perfect 89-0 record and along the way, broke the Colorado state record for takedowns in a single season, finishing with 343 as a senior. To cap off an incredible senior season, he also earned All-American honors after placing 4th at Senior Nationals in Virginia.
