2010-11: Redshirted... Went 9-3 competing unattached with five wins coming by either major decision (3) or fall (2)... Finished third at the Old Chicago Open.
2009-10: Ended his freshman year with an overall record of 7-10, including a 6-8 mark in duals ... Earned one major decision for the year ... Went 1-2 at the NCAA West Regionals ... Also posted a 16-4 record while wrestling unattached.
High School: Earned all-conference all four years and was all-state academic team all four years as well... As a team, the Grizzlies' were first in the state both his junior and senior year... also recruited by West Point, Cornell, and Wyoming.
PERSONAL: Born on April 28, 1991 in Denver, Colo... Son of John and Tammi Gonzales... Has two brothers... Majoring in sport and exercise science.
