As a junior, Salminen took over the full-time starting job in front of the net ... She saw action in all 19 games, starting in 17 of them ... Allowed just 20 goals while making 86 saves ... Her 1.02 goals-against average was good for second-best in the Big Sky ... Her .811 save percentage put her in fourth place in the conference ... Also posted four shutouts ... Made a season-high 12 saves in a 1-1 draw against Weber State on Oct. 7 ... Named to the Big Sky All-Academic Team.

In her second year on campus, Salminen start 14 games in goal ... Finished third in the Big Sky Conference in goals against average (1.14) ... Finished with a record of 5-8-1 ... Posted three shutouts, including a 1-0 home victory against Western Michigan (Aug. 28).

2008:
Season stats
Started 12 games in goal for the Bears as a freshman ... Turned in a 6-8-0 record ... First collegiate win a 2-1 win at home against Air Force (Aug. 24) ... One week later, recorded her first career shutout while making six saves against Wyoming (Aug. 31).

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four letters at Lynden High School playing for coach Cindy Watt...Voted honorable mention all-state as a senior... Earned first-team all-northwest league as a goalkeeper three times (2005-2007)... Twice voted to Bellingham Hearld's All-Whatcom County prep soccer team...Was team captain for her team as a senior... Member of National Honor society... Also earned letters in basketball and softball.
