Bears Fall 2-0 in Season Finale at Eastern Washington

CHENEY, Wash. – Northern Colorado Soccer (3-10-6, 2-4-2 Big Sky) dropped its season finale 2-0 to Eastern Washington (8-6-4, 4-3-1) on Sunday afternoon at EWU Sports & Recreation Soccer Field.
After a scoreless opening half, the Eagles broke through in the 53rd minute when Delani Walker netted her first of two second-half goals. Walker added an insurance score in the closing seconds of the match, finishing a feed from Kendall Moore and Faith Hines to seal the result for EWU.
The Bears tallied 14 total shots, including six on goal, while controlling much of the early possession. Anneliese Wong led UNC with three shots on target, and Riley Schneider added two more chances.
Goalkeeper Kaya Lindberg recorded five saves against 10 Eagle attempts, turning in another steady performance in net.
