Tyler Hill was hired as the Director of Sports Performance in July of 2021. Hill leads the training of all Northern Colorado's student-athletes in his role.
He spent two years with the Denver Broncos before coming to UNC. As an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Broncos, he was the first assistant in movement and Olympic based performance. He was the first assistant in "Return to Play" athletes helping restore fundamental strength and movement for previously injured athletes. He also helped design and implement a variety of workouts throughout the whole season.
Prior to working with the Broncos, Hill spent six years with the University of Kansas starting as an intern and working his way to Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. At KU he worked with both the men's basketball and football program where he worked under his mentor Andrea Hudy. Hudy is now the Director of Sports Performance for Women's Basketball at UConn. Hill worked alongside Hudy during KU's streak of 14-straight Big 12 Championship and trained multiple NBA Draft picks. He spent a brief moment with UConn Athletics working with Hudy and their programs including football and women's basketball.
Hill not only helped with the strength and conditioning aspects of the football program while in Lawrence, but also assisted with the nutrition planning for student-athletes based on their goals.
A former football player himself, Hill played safety for Kansas from 2010-13 where he received his Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences degree. Hill is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, CSCS and MAT trained.
