2011-12
Indoor: Placed 13th at the Big Sky Championship with a season-best time of 50.45 in the 400 meters... Also ran on the 4x400 meter relay team that placed seventh.
Outdoor: Redshirted.
2010-11
Indoor: Ran the second leg of the 4x400 meter relay team that finished second at the Big Sky Championship to earn all-conference honors.
Outdoor: Finished 13th in the 400 meters at the Big Sky Championship and ran the second leg of the 4x400 meter relay that placed fourth... Posted a career-best time of 49.07 in the 400 meters at the Fum McGraw Triangular.
2009-10
Indoor: Was a member of the all-conference 4x400 meter relay team, helping the team run a 3:14.49 to finish third at the Big Sky Championship… Also competed in the 400 meters at the league championship, where he ran a career-best time of 49.52.
Outdoor: At the Front Range Classic on May 1, timed career-bests in both the 200 and 400, running 22.94 and 49.47, respectively… At the Big Sky Conference Championships, he posted a time of 49.53 in the preliminaries of the 400.
2008-09
Indoor: Competed in four meets, posting a season-best 50.52 in the 400 meters in his final race at the Air Force Invitational.
Outdoor: Ran in six meets in the 400 meters, posting a season best time of 49.63 at the CU Invitational.
High School : Graduated from Valley High School in 2008... Was coached by his high school coach Mike Hubbard... Was a standout student-athlete earning a total of 5 varsity letters (2 in Track & Field and 3 in Football). Alex earned 2 All Conference Track & Field Honors... Qualified for the Colorado State High School Track & Field Championships 2 times... Qualified as an individual in the 400M Dash as a Junior and Senior and the 800M Run as a Senior... Best finish in the 400M Dash was 2nd place and 5th place in the 800M Run as a Senior... Ran on his high school 4 x 400M Relay team at the State Meet his Junior and Senior year along with their 4 x 200M Relay team his Senior year with his best finish running on a relay team at the State Meet being 3rd place his Junior year on the 4 x 400M Relay team. Was a captain of his high school Track & Field team as a Senior.
Personal
Born July 27 in Greeley, Colorado to Kevin and Cindy Schneider... Has two younger brothers, Derek and Trevor... Derek is also on the cross country and track teams at Northern Colorado.
