2014 College Sports Madness Player of the Week: April 1, 2014
2014: Started all 54 games during her junior season, 49 at catcher and five as the designated player … Second on the team in doubles with 11 and steals with eight, and third in hits with 47 … Hit five home runs while totaling 23 RBI’s and 19 runs scored … Finished with a .373 on-base percentage and a .465 slugging percentage … 21st in Big Sky Conference games with a .352 batting average … Fourth in Big Sky games in doubles with six … Caught nine runners stealing … Third on the team in fielding percentage with a .983 average, including 156 putouts and 18 assists in 177 total chances … Named College Sports Madness Big Sky Player of the Week following a five-hit, four-RBI week in wins against Colorado State and the Big Sky opening weekend against Weber State … Earned Big Sky All-Conference honorable mention for the first time.
2013: Made an impact in her second season with the team playing in 44 games … Totaled 19 hits with five doubles, one triple and two home runs … Recorded 13 runs batted in while as adding 17 runs … Added a .946 fielding percentage … Caught five runners stealing with a runners caught stealing percentage of .294.
2012: In her debut season with the Bears, Hudson appeared in 48 total games … Ranked second on the team in homeruns after hitting six throughout the season, four of which came in conference play… Finished with a .228 batting average and a .526 slugging percentage in conference play … Complied 47 total bases … During a four-game series against Idaho State, she hammered two homeruns while hitting .333 and knocking in four RBI.
High School: Hudson was named Maxpreps Colorado 5A Player of the Year in 2010, as well as a member of the 5A All-Colorado Team … A four-year letterwinner, she was named to all-conference teams in each of her four years with the Gators … During her junior campaign she led the state with 12 home runs and broke the school record … In 2011, she batted .405 with five home runs and 24 RBIs … After her senior season, she was named 5A All-State Honorable Mention ... She helped lead her team to four-straight regional tournament appearances and three state-tournament appearances … Played club softball for the Colorado Warriors '93.
