Head softball coach, Dedeann Pendleton-Helm announced the addition of Hannah Lindsay to the Northern Colorado softball staff in July of 2026. Lindsay will serve as an Assistant Coach for the Bears.
Lindsay joined the Bears after serving as a graduate assistant coach at South Dakota during the 2025-26 season. There she supported the coaching staff in all aspects of operating the program. That extended to coaching, administrative duties, and student-athlete mentorship.
Prior to beginning her coaching career, Lindsay was a four-year Division I student-athlete and catcher who competed at New Mexico State and the Iowa. She concluded her collegiate playing career with a .302 batting average, 19 home runs, and 65 RBIs.Â
During her senior season at Iowa, Lindsay earned Big Ten Co-Player of the Week honors after hitting .667 with three home runs and 16 RBIs over four games at the Lion Invitational hosted by East Texas A&M. She also earned Academic All-Big Ten recognition. Before transferring to Iowa, Lindsay spent two seasons at New Mexico State, where she was recognized as an Academic All-Western Athletic Conference selection and established herself as one of the Aggies' top offensive performers.Â
In addition to her collegiate experience, Lindsay has an extensive background in player development. She spent four years as an assistant coach with Gear Up Catching, working primarily with catchers, and three years as an assistant coach with Rogue Fastpitch Club, helping develop athletes at the highest travel ball level.Â
Lindsay graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2025 with a bachelor's degree in Health Studies. She also will have completed her master’s degree in Kinesiology and Sports Management in August of 2026. Â
