- Played his final two seasons at AZ Compass Prep under head coach Pete Kaffey. His first two high school seasons he competed at San Tan Charter in Gilbert, Arizona.
- As a senior he averaged 18.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steal per game while shooting 45 percent from the field.
- Gordon played a key role in leading AZ Compass Grind to back-to-back Canyon Athletic Association State Championships.
- Prior to AZ Compass Prep, he also captured a state championship during his sophomore season at San Tan Charter in Gilbert, Arizona, further showcasing his winning pedigree and experience in high-level competition.
