PREVIEW: UNC Men’s Golf Set to Tee Off 2026 Spring Slate At The Compadres Collegiate

GREELEY, Colo – Northern Colorado men's golf team opens its 2026 spring slate this weekend on Sunday, February 1 at the Compadres Collegiate, hosted by UTRGV, with three days of competition at Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf.
Playa Paraiso Golf Course plays 6,701 yards and is a par 72.
The tournament marks the first opportunity of the spring for the team to following the offseason and fall campaign. Competing against a strong field, the three-day event will challenge players with a demanding course layout and consistent scoring opportunities, placing an emphasis on course management and depth across the lineup.
Heading into the opening tournament of the spring, the team will look to build momentum early and establish consistency throughout the lineup as it begins the push toward postseason play.
The Compadres Collegiate serves as an important measuring stick for the group as it prepares for a busy spring schedule ahead.
