Bears Open Gene Miranda Invitational in 10th Place After Round One

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Northern Colorado men's golf opened play at the Gene Miranda Invitational on Saturday, carding a team score of 289 (+1) to sit in 10th place following the opening round at Eisenhower Golf Club.

Tommie Clark led the way for the Bears, firing a 2-under 70 to finish the opening round tied for 10th individually. Thomas Barnes Grimes followed with a 1-under 71 and is tied for 20th.

Kaelen Dulany posted a 1-over 73 and sits tied for 39th, while Cooper Tate carded a 3-over 75 to finish the opening round tied for 54th. Campbell McFadden rounded out the Bears' lineup with a 4-over 76.

Competing as an individual, Matias Koropeski carded a 4-over 76 and sits tied for 21st.

The Bears return to the course Sunday for the second round of the Gene Miranda Invitational.
