ERIE, Colo.- The Northern Colorado men's golf team sits in 18th place at the conclusion of 36 holes at the Mark Simpson Invitational. The Bears posted a team score of +8 through two rounds of play.

Cooper Tate, who previously finished second at the Bluejay Invitational earlier this fall, is off to another strong start. He opened the tournament with a stellar six-under 66 in round one, followed by an impressive five-under 67 in round two. Tate currently sits in third place individually and is firmly in contention heading into the final round.

Kaelen Dulany continues to demonstrate consistent and solid play after finishing at the top of leaderboard at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational. He carded a one-under 71 in the first round and followed it up with a two-under 70 in round two. His performance has him tied for 29th on the individual leaderboard.

Thomas Barnes Grimes sits at +12 through the opening two rounds. Rounding out the Bears' lineup, Tommie Clark ended day one with a score of +14.

UNC will head into Tuesday's finale and will look to make a strong push in round three of the tournament.
