Bears Sit Fifth After Two Rounds at Big Sky Championship

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – Northern Colorado men's golf continued play at the Big Sky Conference Championship on Tuesday, wrapping up round two at Wigwam Resort with a two-day total of 579 (+3) to sit in fifth place heading into the final round.

Northern Colorado was led by Kaelen Dulany, who paced the squad with a strong second-round 69 (-3). Dulany climbed into a tie for seventh place individually with a two-round total of 143 (-1), giving the Bears a consistent presence near the top of the standings.

A dual of Bears sit just behind him in a tie for 12th place. Cooper Tate (74, +2) and Thomas Barnes Grimes (73, +1). Matias Koropeski sits in a tie for 16th (70, -2). Dulany's and Koropeski's under-par round highlighted Northern Colorado's day, helping fuel the team's improved second-round score.

Tommie Clark rounded out the scoring lineup with a 74 (+2) in round two and sits in a tie for 26th overall at 150 (+6).

As a team, the Bears showed balance throughout the round, with all counted scores at +2 or better, positioning themselves to make a push up the leader board in Wednesday's final round.

NEXT TEE: Northern Colorado will look to close strong in the final round of the Big Sky Championship as they aim to climb the standings and contend for a top finish.
