Tate Leads Bears with Runner-Up Performance at Bluejay Invitational

OMAHA, Neb. – Northern Colorado Men's Golf wrapped up play at the Bluejay Invitational at Shadow Ridge Country Club on Tuesday, finishing in eighth place as a team while placing one individual inside the top two on the leaderboard.
Cooper Tate led the way for the Bears with an outstanding tournament, firing rounds of 74, 66, and 68 to finish at 8-under par (208). Tate's consistency down the stretch earned him a runner-up finish, just one shot back of the individual champion.
Tommie Clark provided steady play for UNC, carding rounds of 74-76-72 to finish at 6-over (222) and tied for 39th. Close behind was Kaelen Dulany, who bounced back with a strong 68 in the final round to also close at 222 and tied with Clark.
Lucas Raoul opened with a 73 and battled through the final rounds to finish tied for 62nd at 233, while Takato Imoto capped UNC's scoring lineup with a final-round 75 to place 67th at 236.
The Bears posted rounds of 298 and 297 in the final two rounds, ending the tournament in eighth place at +14 overall.
Northern Colorado now turns its focus to the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational, hosted by Air Force at the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Saturday and Sunday.
