UNC Prepares For First Trip To NIT

Northern Colorado Awaits Opponent
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado is heading to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) for the first time in program history. The Bears, co-champions of the Big Sky Conference in the regular season, secured an automatic bid based on a combination of selection metrics.
UNC is awaiting its first-round opponent in the 32-team field. The tournament begins Tuesday, March 18, and runs through the championship game on Thursday, April 3.
The full bracket will be revealed Sunday night on ESPNU during the official NIT selection show. All 31 tournament games will air on ESPN platforms, with full coverage details—including matchups, broadcast assignments, and game times—announced following the reveal.
