Play Suspended in Second Round Due to Darkness
PHOENIX — JaeSeung Na and Palmer Mutchenson paced Northern Colorado after round one of the GCU Invitational on the Grand Canyon Golf Course (par 71/6,728 yards) Tuesday.
Na registered seven birdies on his way to a 1-over-par 72. He made five in a row from the second through sixth holes. Mutchenson birdied the fifth, 10th and final hole.
The Bears tied for 12th, with a 293, three strokes behind Arkansas State in 10th. UNC fired two fewer strokes than Austin Peay in 14th.
Matias Koropeski fired a 73, one shot behind Na and Mutchenson.
Antti Vahvaselka inked a 76, with three birdies, while Westin Pals rounded out the scoring with a 77.
Play in the second round suspended due to darkness and will conclude at 8 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the final round.
