Vahvaselka Moves Up Four Spots After Two Rounds

The Bears Dropped One Spot to 11th at Loyola Collegiate
GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Northern Colorado men's golfer Antti Vahvaselka moved up four spots to 24th place after two rounds at the Loyola Collegiate at Palm Valley Golf Club.
Vahvaselka carded a 1-under 72 in the second round, bringing his overall total to 1-under par and keeping him in contention for a strong finish.
As a team, Northern Colorado dropped from 10th to 11th place with a combined score of 578, struggling to make up ground in the standings.
Westin Pals made the largest jump of the day, rising 11 spots to 34th after a 1-under 72, leaving him at even par for the tournament. JaeSeung Na climbed three spots to 42nd after finishing today's round even, bringing his total to 1-over par for the tournament.
Palmer Mutcheson and Matias Koropeski are tied for 50th, each posting a 73 in today's round, sitting at +2 overall.

Antti Vahvaselka fired an even 72 on Sunday afternoon and enters round two tied for 30th. Additionally, Vahvaselka played four holes 1-under.
Palmer Mutcheson, JaeSeung Na, Westin Pals, and Matias Koropeski each shot a 1-over 72 in the opening round and are tied for 45th heading into round two.
Na is currently tied for ninth in the tournament with five birdies after round one, while Pals is tied for seventh in Par 5 scoring, averaging 4.25. Koropeski is tied for fifth with 13 total pars.
