Four Bears Named to CSC All District

GREELEY, Colo. — Four Northern Colorado volleyball student-athletes were selected to the 2025 NCAA Division I Academic All-District Team, College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced Tuesday. Brynn Reines, Zoe Gibbs, Alayna Tessena, and Bella LePore received the honor in recognition of their achievements in both academics and athletics.
The CSC Academic All-District program honors student-athletes who excel in the classroom while contributing at a high level of competition. To be eligible, nominees must carry a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 and meet established athletic and participation criteria.
These selections highlight Northern Colorado's ongoing commitment to academic and athletic excellence and the development of student-athletes.
Brynn Reines, a senior outside hitter from Rogers, Minnesota, was a key offensive force for the Bears, recording 376 kills on the season. Her standout performance earned her Big Sky Second Team All-Conference honors, as well as All-Tournament Team recognition and Tournament MVP. Reines also excelled academically, maintaining a 3.95 GPA while majoring in Sport and Exercise Science.
Zoe Gibbs, a senior middle blocker from Niwot, Colorado, competed in all 33 matches and recorded 282 kills. Gibbs was named Big Sky Second Team All Conference. She also maintained a 3.94 GPA while majoring in Psychology.
Alayna Tessena, a sophomore outside hitter from Medina, Ohio, competed in all 33 matches and led the team with 422 kills while earning a 3.92 GPA in Elementary Education. Tessena earned Big Sky Second Team All Conference.
Bella LePore, a junior defensive specialist from Brentwood, Tennessee, led the team with 487 digs—including a season high 28 digs against Sacramento State. LePore earned a spot on the All Tournament team for excellent play. She excelled academically with a 3.85 GPA in Business Administration.
All four honorees surpassed the CSC's academic benchmark, each holding a GPA above 3.50. Their achievements highlight Northern Colorado's commitment to supporting excellence both on the field and in the classroom.
