GREELEY, Colo. - After a multi-week road swing, UNC Volleyball returns home to the Bank of Colorado Arena this weekend to host the UNC Volleyball Invite presented by DoubleTree Greeley Lincoln Park. The Bears are set for an action-packed weekend of competition, welcoming Air Force, Denver, and Utah to Greeley for a multi-day tournament.

The action kicks off Thursday, Sept. 17, as the Bears take on in-state foe Denver at 6 p.m. MT, following the neutral-site opener between Air Force and Utah. UNC will return to the court Friday night at 6 p.m. MT to face Air Force before closing out the tournament and non-conference play Saturday against Utah at 12 p.m. MT. The weekend gives the Bears an opportunity to defend home court and build momentum in front of their home fans

LAST TIME OUT: The Bears are coming off a hard-fought weekend at the Blue Raider Bash in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Northern Colorado opened the tournament with a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over Murray State, highlighted by career performances from Summer Snead (20 kills, .714 hitting percentage) and Gillian Walton (19 kills).

NOTES ABOUT THE OPPONENTS: Air Force enters the weekend with a 4-4 overall record. The Falcons most recently faced Big Sky competition, falling to Idaho State in straight sets.

Denver brings a 6-3 record into the weekend and has won three of its last six matches. The Pioneers are coming off a straight-set victory over Sam Houston in their most recent neutral-site match up and will open tournament play against the Bears.

Utah heads to Greeley with a 5-3 record on the season. The Utes most recently faced UCLA on Sunday, dropping a four-set decision. Utah will close out the tournament against Northern Colorado on Saturday.
