GREELEY, Colo. – The Northern Colorado baseball program is proud to announce the addition of two student-athletes on National Signing Day. Head Coach Mike Anderson and his staff officially welcomed a pair of talented signees who will join the Bears family next season.
MEET THE SIGNEES
Yale Johnson | Catcher | Chandler, Ariz. | Chandler High School
The Bears welcome Yale Johnson, a standout catcher from Chandler, Arizona. A four-year varsity starter, Johnson has been a consistent leader behind the plate, earning All-Premier Region and All-Chandler Unified School District honors in both 2023 and 2024.
"We got a quarterback in a catches uniform; he's going to contribute to our program right away. We're thrilled to have Yale and the Johnson family apart of our program" said Head Coach, Mike Anderson.
The son of Hayley and Tyler Johnson, Yale comes from a strong baseball lineage—his father played collegiate at Arizona State University and his mother is an alum of Gateway Community College. He has three siblings: Braden, Lucianna, and Harmony.
Johnson chose Northern Colorado because of the program's vision and the culture being built by Coach Anderson and his staff. He's eager to continue developing as both a player and a person within the Bears baseball family. Off the field, he plans to pursue a degree in Finance while continuing his athletic career in Greeley.
Britain Fox | Outfield | Broomfield, Colo. | Holy Family High School
Northern Colorado also welcomes Britain Fox, a dynamic outfielder from Broomfield, Colorado. The son of Audrey and Derek Fox, Britain has two siblings, Taylor and Jordyn.
A Perfect Game Top 500 prospect, Fox has earned multiple Perfect Game All-Tournament Team honors and served as team captain for his high school squad. As a sophomore, he played a key role in leading his team to a Colorado State Championship title.
"Britain's athleticism gives him a chance to step in as freshman and find quality time" said Head Coach, Mike Anderson. "His best days are ahead for him".
Fox chose UNC for its proud baseball tradition and the opportunity to compete at the Division I level close to home. Drawn by the program's competitive spirit and the mentorship of Coach Anderson and his staff, he looks forward to growing both athletically and academically while pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences.
