PREVIEW: Men’s Cross Country Travel South for UCCS XC Open

GREELEY, Colo. - The Northern Colorado men's cross country team is set to return to competition this Friday, October 10, at the UCCS XC Open in Colorado Springs.
Hosted by the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs, the meet will be held at Monument Valley Park, with the men's 8K race beginning at 9:00 a.m. The event is a non-scored open meet, offering programs and individual athletes the chance to gain valuable racing experience ahead of the championship stretch of the season.
The course features alternating 2,000-meter lower and upper loops on a mix of grass and packed gravel, providing a fast and challenging setup in one of Colorado's most scenic park settings.
LAST TIME OUT
Northern Colorado last competed at the Woody Greeno/Dirksen Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska, where the Bears finished 18th overall in a deep field. Junior Noah Osmond led the charge with a time of 26:09.52, followed by senior Hunter Kenney (27:07.35) and freshman Max Kedrowski (27:17.07). Sophomore Noah Mayoral De Anza (27:19.52) and freshman Tad Rabenhorst (28:25.66) rounded out the scoring five.
