Patterson Brings Valuable Experience To UNC Athletics External Operations Staff

GREELEY, Colo. – The University of Northern Colorado Department of Athletics has announced the hiring of Bailey Patterson as its new Director of Brand Strategy and Social Media. In this role, Patterson will lead the strategic vision for UNC Athletics' digital presence, fan engagement, and brand storytelling across all platforms. Patterson will began serving in the role on Friday, October 3.
Patterson will oversee digital and creative media strategy, including content creation, social media management, and branding initiatives. She will also play a key role in marketing and ticket sales planning, sponsorship activation, and enhancing the game day fan experience.
Patterson joins UNC with extensive experience in collegiate athletics marketing and brand development. She most recently served as Director of Marketing, Sponsorship, and Fan Engagement for MSU Denver Athletics, where she curated digital content, managed all athletic department social media accounts, and oversaw fan experience programming. In this role, she designed and executed multimedia campaigns, created promotional graphics, coordinated alumni engagement initiatives, and directed game day promotional activities across multiple sports.
Her background also includes previous internships with UNC and MSU Denver, where she developed a strong foundation in content creation, digital marketing, and event operations.
A summa cum laude graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver, Patterson earned her Bachelor of Science in Technical Communications in 2021. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Sport Administration at the University of Northern Colorado, with an expected graduation in December 2025.
Known for her collaborative approach, creative vision, and passion for advancing athletic department storytelling, Patterson will lead UNC Athletics' efforts to expand its digital footprint, drive fan engagement, and strengthen the Bears' brand presence on a local and national level.
