WICHITA, Kan. – Brynn Reines recorded a double-double in the final non-conference match of the season for Northern Colorado Saturday.

Reines tallied 11 kills and 15 digs in a five-set (25-19, 29-27, 22-25, 22-25, 10-15) loss to Cal Poly at the Koch Center. Maddie Davies paced the Bears with 14 kills, while Gabi Placide netted 13.

UNC led 2-0 at the intermission after claiming an extra-point victory in the second set.Cal Poly forced a fifth-and-deciding set with back-to-back 25-22 victories. The Mustangs completed the reverse sweep with a five-point victory.

Series and Team Notes

UNC finished non-conference play at 9-4.
The Bears dropped to 1-3 in the all-time series.
UNC lost the last three in the series.

Individual Notes

Brynn Reines netted 11 kills, 15 digs and three assists.
Syd Cole tallied a double-double with 51 assists, 10 digs, five kills and three aces.
Sam Steele accounted for 22 digs and five aces.
GA McCarter registered 11 digs.
Isabel Bennett chipped in with nine kills, four blocks and an ace.
Alayna Tessena accumulated nine kills and four digs.
Bella LePore mustered 13 kills.
