Campbell Qualifies for NCAA Final; Adds Second Career All-American Honor

EUGENE, Ore. – Jerome Campbell added his second career All-American honor by qualifying for the NCAA 110-meter Hurdles Final at Hayward Field Wednesday.
The top two in the three semifinal heats automatically qualified for Friday's final, with the last three spots awarded to the fastest times.
"It was not Jerome's best race, but he survived and advanced," Wayne Angel, UNC Director of Track & Field and Cross Country said. The race jitters are gone and he can prepare for Friday's final."
Running in the first eight-man heat, Campbell posted the fourth-quickest time. His 13.44 held up over the final two semifinal races and advanced to the championship race at 7:42 p.m. MT and available on ESPN2 or streamed on ESPN+. Live results available here.

Eight of the 24 competitors equaled or set personal best times.
Arkansas' Phillip Lemonious, the defending NCAA champion placed last in the first heat and 20th overall.
