Fisher Collects His First Career Summit League Weekly Honor

GREELEY, Colo. – Garrett Fisher earned the TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Performer of the Week, league officials announced Monday.
It is great to see Garrett honored as the performer of the week," head coach Mike Anderson said. "He exemplifies everything you would want in a student-athlete."
He earned the honor after an impressive weekend, helping the Bears move into fourth place in the league with a three-game sweep of South Dakota State.
The Fort Collins, Colorado, native hit .500, with seven hits in 14 at-bats, including a double. He added three walks, boosting his on-base percentage to 5.88 and a 1.159 OPS.
His performance in the classroom and as a servant leader define him daily," Anderson said. It is very gratifying to see him have success on the baseball diamond."
Fisher scored two runs and drove in five more in the three games. He posted a 2 for 5, including a double, with a run-batted-in Sunday – the final game of his collegiate career at Jackson Field.
Fisher and the Bears travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma, May 10-12 for a three-game series at Oral Roberts.
