Campbell Named MyGreeley.Com UNC Student-Athlete of the Week

GREELEY, Colo. – Jerome Campbell collected MyGreeley.Com UNC Student-Athlete of the Week honors, after qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships last week.
The Kingston, Jamaica native finished fourth in the 110-meter Hurdles Wednesday, May 22, in the first round of the NCAA West Regionals – hosted by Arkansas. He set a new personal best and UNC program record with a time of 13.36 at John McDonnell Field.
In his quarterfinal heat two days later, Campbell ran even faster, posting a new personal record and program best of 13.30 and placed fifth. Both times ranked inside the top 30 in the world this season at the time they were established, according to worldathletics.org. His quarterfinal time earned him a tie for 20th-fastest in the world this season.
Campbell competes at the NCAA Championships – hosted by Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, Wednesday, June 5 at 6:32 MT.
