TULSA, Okla. – Jack Tuttle posted a magnificent performance in relief against Oral Roberts Sunday at JL Johnson Stadium.
The junior from Torrance, California tossed 3.2 scoreless innings, with one walk and two strikeouts.
Carson Gross, Kai Wagner, Garret Fisher and Craig Kenny accounted for the Bears' four hits.
Fisher hit safely in his fifth straight game, while Gross upped his hitting streak to four games. Both extended their hitting streaks to season highs. Gross and Caden Wagner tallied the two runs in the 8-2 setback.
Kai Wagner's one-out RBI opened the scoring in the first, scoring Gross, who reached with a lead-off single. Fisher followed with a knock to left, loading the bases for Jake King, who worked a walk to increase the Bears' advantage to 2-0.
Oral Roberts responded with six in the third inning, with solo markers in the fourth and eighth innings.
