The freshman from Broomfield, Colorado, slammed a 2-1 pitch over the barrier in left center with one out in the third, trimming the deficit to 4-1.
Dalton Miller and Sam Pease drove in the final two runs for UNC in the 16-3 setback.
Austin Bunn opened the seventh when he reached on a hit-by-pitch. Miller scored Bunn from first on a pinch-hit RBI triple four pitches later. Pease grounded to third and Miller – who went on contact – beat the throw to the plate.
Oral Robets scored in seven of the eight innings, with solo tallies in the second, third and seventh frames, with multiple-run stanzas in the first, fifth, sixth and eighth.
Zain Zinicola and Kai Wagner registered a hit each.
Dylan Smith started on the mound and allowed seven runs – six earned, on eight hits and two walks, with one strikeout in 4 1/3 innings.
